    Terrible experience, beyond disappointment,

    I have explained Sid that I am looking for a rim to replace a slight bent,after buying a rim from this place, I found out that it had exact same bentthat I am trying to replace, And when I was trying to return it back, was told that it pretty much that it was my fault that I bought this rim, they would not take it back, told me that it is my problem now and I will have to figure out how to sell it. It tells a lot about the management , since they let customer staff behave in this manner

    Easily one of Toronto's very best British only car service facilities. They're now rejuvenating my second car the coveted 1969 MGB. They just recently finished on 1969 Jaguar.

    I have been a customer of Berkshire for over 20 years and have bought many British cars from Sam, including a number of Jags and a vintage Bentley. Berkshire’s service has always been superb. Sam and his crew are a pleasure to deal with.

    I am a new customer to Birkshire Automobiles, recently purchasing an older model of Jaguar I had been seeking. Not only was Birkshire professional and accommodating during the sales process but the service team made my purchase the perfect choice. I look forward to dealing with Birkshire for future service and British Automobile purchases. I highly recommend Birkshire for both older and late model British Automobile sales and service.

    Bought a beautiful example of an XJ6 series 1, the best I could afford. Took it to a couple of shops to have it sorted out (it is almost 50 years old) and never quite found the one shop I was looking for. Discovered Birkshire Automobiles and they went top to bottom, in and out, gave me a proposal for a sympathetic restoration that was easy on the pocket book and gave me the car that I always wanted to drive. Outstanding work by Sam Sehota, his wife Jas and Dan The Man Service Manarer!

    I just had a terrible experience at Berkshire's Automobiles. I dropped my car for an oil change and minor electrical problems a few days ago. I wanted to stay to make them do the work before my eyes, but the service manager told me that they could not start working on my car until later in the afternoon because they had 4-5 cars ahead of mine and instead I leave the car behind. At 3:30 I spoke to him again and he told me that they were about done with the oil change. (They close at 5:30pm btw). At 4:25pm he emailed me an estimate! I called him back and said that it was outrageous, at least twice what I was expecting. He told me "I am going to see what I can do. I will call you back." I trusted him (big mistake). He called me at 9:30am the next morning to tell me it was just a relay and a switch to change. Nothing much. Parts would cost $30 and he needed half an hour to install it. I agreed. I was all happy and expecting that I would pay for the oil change (over $200 ... compared to $49.99 at Mr. Lube!) + one hour of work for the day before + half an hour for this morning. To my surprise when I picked up my car, they had billed me for 6 hours and 45 minutes of work! Of course they could not have worked 6 hours yesterday between 4:25pm and 5:30pm (one hour at most). With one mechanic in the shop, they could not have spent over 6 hours on my car alone, with another 5 vehicles serviced the same day! Since I had only objected verbally over the phone and not in writing they knew they could squeeze me for the full amount of the estimate they had send me at 4:25pm the day before. They were also exceptionally rude and aggressive. Bottom line: $1,134 for an oil change a relay and a switch! Anyone with automotive expertise will appreciate how outrageous that is! I have the invoice to prove it ... and will be happy to send it to anyone who wants to review it.

    You came with your 1994 Jaguar XJS Convertible for:

    1. Lube oil and Filter

    2. Electrical problem with dash lights and side market lights not

    working

    3. Convertible top not functioning properly

    Electrical problems take time to check into and diagnose. You were given an estimate for the electrical diagnostic and repair. The estimate was approved by you and signed to go ahead with the work. You were charged $1,003.75 + tax accordingly for the repairs completed. You called the police as you did not want to pay the bill. You were told by the police that you have to pay the bill. Our hourly rate is 30% cheaper than the main dealers.

    Simply outstanding, thoughtful and careful sympathetic restoration for an old Jaguar. Mechanical rebuild from nose to tail, full body work....cannot say enough about Sam and Jas Sehota - the owners. Very highly recommended!

    This is the 2nd time I go there. 1st time $1279.00 felt overcharged on labour.today-the worst experience in service I ever had. Lack of customer service. Charge $120.00 / hour, but charges more than the time spent on the vehicle, the answer was we had 2 people to fix the vent..they put the wrong part and took them 10 minutes to replace it but charged me 2 hours. .sure would have been nice if I was charged an honest and fair price for the time spent. Total rip off. Will never go back again. Better to go the dealer, pay a little more but you get the proper job done.upsetting . You get what you pay for.

    Birkshire's mechanics are experienced, competent, and I have had all 3 Jaguars that I have owned serviced by them over the last 10 years. They know Jags and have been exemplary in their professionalism. Are they inexpensive? You get what you pay for. I certainly find them fair and certainly far less expensive and far more attentive than a dealer. I have never once been disappointed with their attitude, willingness, or eagerness to solve any problems. No one else touches my XK8.
